Cloud IT Services

Part of Technology Stabilization & Standardization, alongside Managed IT Services.

TTS Cyber’s Cloud IT Services are about running the cloud systems a business already has: the mail platform, the access people have to company data, and the security around both.

What cloud computing services does TTS Cyber provide?

Cloud IT Services at TTS Cyber cover three things.

  • Secure storage of and access to your critical data from anywhere, so people working off-site reach company data through a route you control.
  • Email server management, which is the mail platform itself: the mailboxes on it, the accounts that can sign in to them, and who holds administrative rights over the whole tenant.
  • Cyber security solutions applied to those systems, so the controls follow the data rather than stopping at the office door.

What does the work look like once you’re already in the cloud?

Most businesses did not plan their way into the cloud. They arrived one tool at a time: a file share, then email, then a line-of-business application the vendor moved on its own schedule.

Each step made sense on its own. What they add up to is an estate nobody has drawn a picture of, set up by different people in different years.

So the questions worth asking now are about the estate as it stands. Which account owns each system. Who can reach the data, and from where. What happens when files are deleted and nobody notices for a month, or when the person who built the tenant leaves and no one else holds administrative access. Both of those have answers you can check rather than guess at: deletion windows run on a fixed clock and then close. Tenant ownership follows the domain you control rather than the individual who registered it.

TTS Cyber’s part is the maintenance underneath, which is the email server, the accounts attached to it, and keeping access to your data controlled.

How does TTS Cyber keep cloud-hosted data secure?

Cloud computing doesn’t remove the need for security. It changes where it happens.

The controls that used to sit on your network now sit around accounts and permissions: who can sign in, from where, and what they can reach once they are in. TTS Cyber applies the same security practices used across its other services to the cloud systems it manages, so access to your data is controlled and monitored wherever it’s stored.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is cloud IT a replacement for on-site IT support, or does it work alongside it?

Cloud IT services from TTS Cyber are typically layered alongside your existing IT support rather than replacing it. The goal is secure access to your data and systems, without a wholesale change to how your team works.

Nobody here knows who our Microsoft 365 global admin is. The person who set up the tenant left three years ago and used a personal email address. Is the tenant recoverable?

There is a recovery path. It does not run through the person who left. It turns on what you can prove rather than on reaching them. The tenant belongs to the organization rather than to the individual who created it, and control of it is tied to the domain name you own. So regaining a global administrator account generally runs through Microsoft’s own support process: you open a case stating you cannot sign in to the tenant, and Microsoft validates ownership before restoring access.

Expect to be asked to prove you control the domain in DNS and to produce billing or subscription records and the tenant ID; how quickly it resolves, and whether it resolves, depends on what documentation you can put in front of them. Once you have it back, the fix is the one that would have prevented this: more than one named administrator account on a domain you control, multi-factor authentication on each, permissions granted by role, and a scheduled review of who still holds administrative access.

Microsoft’s shared responsibility documentation puts identities and users, and configurations and settings, on the customer side of the line for Microsoft 365. So tenant administration is yours to hold rather than the platform’s.

Someone deleted a batch of files in SharePoint and we didn’t notice for a month. How far back can Microsoft actually go?

You likely still have time. But the window is finite and it is already running. Deleted SharePoint Online items move to the site recycle bin and then to the site collection recycle bin. Microsoft’s retention across both stages is 93 days from the date of deletion, after which the items are purged and Microsoft cannot bring them back. That window shrinks in practice if someone emptied the recycle bin, if a retention policy expired, or if the deletion was done by a compromised administrator account.

Native recovery in Microsoft 365 is limited and time-boxed, and Microsoft’s shared responsibility documentation puts customer data on the customer side of the line. So treat backup and retention for Microsoft 365 as something you own rather than something the platform handles for you.
